Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 August 2026
The short version. If you use Possiber for free, your playlists never leave your device — there's no account and no server involved. If you subscribe to Pro, we store your email address and whether your subscription is active. That's it.
We never collect your browsing history or your YouTube watch history. We don't sell your data to anyone.
This policy explains what data Possiber collects, why, and what you can do about it. Possiber is a browser extension made by Muzzish, a solo developer project. If anything here is unclear, email us and we'll explain it properly.
1. What we collect
What we hold depends entirely on which tier you use.
| Tier | What we collect | Where it's stored |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Your playlists and extension settings only | Locally on your own device. Never sent to us. |
| Pro | Your email address and subscription status | Our database (Supabase) and our payment provider (Paddle) |
Free tier — no account, no server
On the free tier, Possiber works entirely inside your browser. Your playlists and preferences are saved using your browser's own local storage. We have no way to see them, because they are never transmitted anywhere.
Pro tier — the minimum we need to bill you
To run a paid subscription we need to know who you are and whether you've paid. So when you upgrade, we collect:
- Your email address — obtained when you sign in with Google. We use it to identify your account and to contact you about your subscription.
- Your subscription status — whether your plan is active, and its renewal date. This comes from our payment provider.
- Your synced playlists — because syncing across devices requires storing them on our server rather than only on your device.
2. What we never collect
To be explicit, Possiber does not collect any of the following:
- Your browsing history
- Your YouTube watch history
- Which specific videos you watch or for how long
- Your name, address, phone number, or date of birth
- Your payment card details — these go directly to our payment provider and we never see them
- Any data at all from websites other than YouTube
Possiber also does not access, read from, or post to your YouTube account. It only cleans up the appearance of YouTube pages you are already viewing.
3. Why we collect it
We only use your data to run the service. Specifically: to log you in, to keep your Pro subscription working, to sync your playlists between your devices, and to email you if something goes wrong with your account or payment.
We do not use your data for advertising, we do not build a profile of you, and we do not sell or rent it to third parties. We won't send you marketing emails unless you separately opt in.
4. Third-party services we use
Possiber relies on a small number of outside services. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job.
- Google (OAuth sign-in) — handles Pro login. We receive your email address from Google; Google does not receive anything about your Possiber activity.
- Supabase — the database that stores Pro account data and synced playlists.
- Paddle — processes subscription payments and acts as the merchant of record. Paddle handles your billing details directly; we only receive your subscription status.
- YouTube / Google — videos are played through YouTube's own embedded player, so YouTube's own privacy policy applies to the video playback itself.
These providers process data on servers that may be located outside your country. We've chosen established providers that offer standard data protection safeguards.
5. How long we keep it
Free tier data lives on your device for as long as you keep the extension installed. Uninstalling the extension, or clearing your browser data, removes it.
For Pro accounts, we keep your email, subscription status, and synced playlists for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, apart from the billing records Paddle is legally required to retain for tax and accounting purposes.
6. Your rights and choices
You can:
- Access your data — ask us for a copy of what we hold about you.
- Correct it — ask us to fix anything inaccurate.
- Delete it — ask us to delete your account and its data.
- Withdraw from Pro — cancel anytime; you drop back to the free tier and your local playlists remain.
- Use Possiber without giving us anything — the free tier requires no account at all.
To exercise any of these, email support@muzzish.com and we'll action it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA — those rights still apply and we'll honour them.
7. Security
Pro account data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with our database provider using their standard security protections. We keep the amount of data we hold deliberately small, which is the most effective protection of all: data we never collect can't be exposed.
That said, no online service can promise perfect security. If a breach ever affected your data, we would tell you.
8. Children
Possiber is intended for people aged 13 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created a Pro account, email us and we'll delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. For significant changes affecting Pro subscribers, we'll email you as well.
